Graff & Guerre
In 2022, the Flers Sart Cultural and Social Centre in Villeneuve d’Ascq invited local artists and leading figures in urban graphic art in the region to participate in its efforts to pass on memories by creating a link between past and present through urban art.
29 regional, national and international artists took up the cause on a voluntary basis.
The GRAFF&GUERRE exhibition, the fruit of this spirit of solidarity, now features more than 30 works, each illustrating the personal and stylised vision of each artist.
From graffiti and stencilling to collage, sculpture and drawing, the exhibition highlights
the distinctive influence of each artist’s unique signature on the meaning of history.
This body of work is a collective testimony in the form of a mosaic of pictorial expression. The wealth of interpretations deserves to be shared, and we are proud to present it to you.
