Throughout the year, the Péronne museum offers an array of special events, activities and themed visits.
Included in the price of admission and available free of charge to Friends of the Historial, on presentation of their membership card.

- Period objects that you can touch, weigh up and handle, for a genuinely hands-on approach to history.
Workshop available on request, please ask the museum staff during your visit.

- Mystery at the museum: “A family trip to the museum is child’s play! The war correspondent game”
- Third weekend of each month: Step into the shoes of a war correspondent. Solve a series of riddles as you explore the museum, and discover the mysterious figure that awaits at the end of your visit.
- Flash tours
- During the school holidays and to coincide with special events, the museum’s team of hosts organise a series of flash tours. A flash tour is a quick visit lasting between 30 and 45 minutes, a concise yet detailed tour focusing on a specific theme, and including plenty of time for discussion.
- Workshops for families & young visitors
- School holidays: Led by one of the museum’s educational expertstake part in a fun, creative workshop exploring the Great War or the Middle Ages.

- Weekends and school holidays: Our special suitcases are packed with content for all the family (games, workbooks, hands-on activities etc.), designed to make learning fun. Several themed cases are already available: Games and toys, Plant adventure, Food, the Middle Ages…Available on request at reception (with ID as deposit)
- Expo-Games (for families) NEW
- One-off events: Notepads in hand, set off to explore a specific theme relating to the Great War: trees, plants in wartime, the history of games…

- For groups, subject to reservation: For adult visitors, the Historial offers a range of “turnkey” guided tours and museum study days.

- Digital information panels and tables: There are numerous touch-screens dotted throughout all of the exhibition spaces at the Péronne museum. They include animated maps and a wealth of additional information on the documents and artefacts on display. . In the Aviation Room at Thiepval, an interactive touch-screen feature provides further information on the early days of military aeronautics.
